Car Accidents / Workers Comp

Every year, thousands of car accidents occur with serious injuries – like broken bones, deep lacerations and skull fractions – that require emergency medical attention. Yet, thousands more – many of them slow-moving, rear end collisions – only appear to result in little or no injury. Whiplash can occur even at slow speeds of 2 or 3 miles per hour.  And it can take weeks or months for an injury involving the spine or soft tissue to make itself known. That’s why it’s always a good idea to see your chiropractor and get X-rays as soon as possible after an accident.

Pay attention to some of the early signs of whiplash or soft tissue injury – early action and treatment can save you months or years of debilitating pain.  Common symptoms include: headaches, blurred vision, and dizziness, reduced range of motion, neck, shoulder and/or back pain, and lower back pain.

Our Solution

When a patient reports that they’ve been involved in a car accident, the first thing we do is take digital X-rays.  Then we do a complete scan, using our hand-held Sigma Instrument to check for spinal misalignment and damage to vertebrae, nerves, discs, and soft tissue as well as micro tears and TMJ (temporomandibular joint dysfunction). We’ll design a long-term treatment plan that includes gentle spinal adjustments, rehab exercises to improve flexibility, nutritional supplements, and massage therapy.  We’ll start slowly, working toward healing, managing pain and building strength.
